The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of how the site is built rather than an afterthought, and we keep working to improve it.

What we do

Across the site we have aimed for:

• Clear, structured headings, one main heading per page, and meaningful, descriptive link text.
• Content that is visible by default. Nothing on this site is hidden until an animation runs: scroll effects are added to content that is already readable, so the page stays complete if JavaScript is blocked, fails, or has not finished loading.
• Keyboard access to navigation and interactive elements, with a visible focus outline that is never removed.
• Colour contrast intended to meet AA for body text, and text that reflows without loss on smaller screens.
• Text alternatives for images that carry meaning; decorative images and video are hidden from assistive technology rather than described unhelpfully.
• Form fields that are labelled, marked as required in a way assistive technology can read, and that report errors in text next to the field rather than by colour alone.

Motion and animation

Motion on this site is restrained and decorative. It is never required to understand the content. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are turned off automatically and the homepage video is replaced with a still image rather than merely hidden.

The same applies to printing: a printed page shows the full content, not the state an animation happened to be in.

What we have tested

Last reviewed 31 July 2026. That review covered every page on this site and checked:

• That each page renders completely with JavaScript disabled.
• That each page renders completely with reduced motion enabled.
• Keyboard-only navigation through the header, menus, links and the enquiry form, including the skip link and visible focus.
• Heading structure and landmark regions on every page.
• That the enquiry form can be completed, validated and submitted without JavaScript, and that errors are announced.

Known limitations

We have not yet commissioned an independent WCAG 2.2 AA audit, and automated checking alone cannot confirm conformance. Until that audit is done, this statement describes our own testing rather than a certified result.

Some image-led sections carry meaning partly through composition, and any third-party or downloadable content may not yet meet every criterion. We are addressing these as the site develops.
