Privacy
This notice explains how we handle the personal information you provide through this site, for example when you request an operational site review, and the rights you have over it.
Last updated: July 2026
Who we are
Avon Pest Control Ltd, trading as Stratton Environmental Management (“Stratton”, “we”, “us”), is the controller of personal data collected through this site.
For any question about this notice or your data, contact us at privacy@strattonem.com, or through our contact page.
What we collect
We collect the information you choose to send us, and a small amount of technical information needed to run the site securely:
- Details you submit through the contact form: your name, company, role, email address, telephone number, sector, and the message you send.
- Technical information logged by our hosting provider, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site secure and working.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, to arrange and carry out a site review, and to maintain a record of our correspondence with you.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services, and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only where necessary to operate, for example with the suppliers who host this site and provide our email and IT systems, under terms that require them to protect it. Enquiries submitted through the contact form are recorded in a private Google Workspace spreadsheet and notified to us by email within the same Google Workspace account; they are not passed to a separate email delivery provider. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our legitimate business and legal record-keeping, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Where it is processed
Your information is processed in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area where possible. If a supplier processes data outside the UK, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to UK standards.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information, or to restrict or object to how we use it.
- Ask us to transfer your information to another provider, where that right applies.
Your right to object
Because we rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, you have the right to object to that use at any time. If you object, we will stop unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or we need the information to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
To object, contact us at privacy@strattonem.com. You do not have to give a reason, and objecting will never affect how we deal with an enquiry you have already made.
Where personal data is used for direct marketing, the right to object is absolute: tell us and we will stop immediately, with no exceptions and no balancing test.
How to exercise your rights, or complain
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@strattonem.com or through our contact page. We will respond within the time limits set by law.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would, however, welcome the chance to put things right first.
